We are pleased to announce that the data from our seventh wave of data collection, the Year 22 follow-up wave, are now available for download through the OPR Data Archive!
The Year 22 Wave of the FFCWS included a Young Adult (YA) survey with the original focal child and a Primary Caregiver (PCG) survey. Data collection for the Year 22 follow-up wave began in October of 2020, around the YA’s twenty-second birthday, and continued through January 2024.
The aims of this wave of data collection are to examine the focal child’s transition to adulthood, including topics related to socioeconomic status, family formation, fertility history, health, cognitive and non-cognitive skills, social support, access to government programs, systems involvement, impacts of the COVID-19 Pandemic, and more.
Primary Caregiver Survey
The Primary Caregiver (PCG; as identified at the age 15 interview) survey collected information on housing and living arrangements, educational attainment, employment, income, formal and informal assistance, finances, relationships, health and behavior, substance use, demographics and identity, and the impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic. The PCG survey additionally included questions regarding the YA, from the PCG’s perspective, including information about the YA’s housing, education, systems involvement, health, and relationships.
Young Adult Survey
The YA survey collected information on the young adult’s housing and living arrangements, education, employment, income, formal and informal assistance, finances, relationships, fertility history, systems involvement, demographics and identity, health and behavior, substance use, and the impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
