Future of Families and Child Wellbeing Study Co-PI Kathy Edin spoke to Spotlight On Poverty and Opportunity about the "Index of Deep Disadvantage", a measure of poverty that "looks at a range of factors beyond just income to understand disadvantage at the community rather than just the individual level". This research was informed by the book “$2 a Day: Living on Almost Nothing in America” of which Dr. Edin is a co-author.
