Dr. Sarah Gold Appointed CRCW Director of Research and Policy

Dec. 9, 2021

Dr. Kathryn Edin, director of the Center for Research on Child Wellbeing (CRCW), is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Sarah Gold to the position of CRCW Director, Research and Policy, effective 1/1/2022. In this new role, Sarah will maintain day to day leadership of Center operations, lead policy outreach based on the Center’s and its affiliates’ research, and manage research planning and strategy. We are excited to have Sarah in this role given her deep understanding of the intersection between research and policy, strong research and mentoring skills, and her years of experience working and interfacing with policy leaders.

Dr. Gold earned her BS from The Pennsylvania State University in Community Environment and Development, her MAT in Elementary Education from Montclair State University and her MSW and PhD in Social Work from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Prior to assuming this post, Dr. Gold had worked on FFCWS with the Center for more than three years, serving first as a Postdoctoral Research Associate and then as an Associate Research Scholar. Past posts in research and policy positions include Research Associate at the NJ Department of Human Services; Research Assistant at Rutgers University’s School of Social Work; and on the Special Needs and Supportive Housing team at the NJ Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency.
