  note = {This paper contributes to the literatures on fatherhood and poverty by examining newly available data from a large, representative sample of low-income, unmarried parents who were asked questions about paternal activities.  Drawing on data from the baseline survey of the Fragile Families and Child Well-being (FFCW) Study, we investigate whether unmarried parents differ from married parents in terms of their support for the breadwinner model.  We also examine whether unmarried parents are different from married parents in their support for other models of fatherhood. },
